Bicycle seat height adjustment. Saddles can be adjusted in three ways. This adjustment changes how far you have to reach to grasp your handlebars and it shifts your weight distribution on the bicycle both of which affect how your bike handles. Slide the seat on the seatpost or rails to adjust it fore and aft. For bolted seats use an allen key or wrench to loosen the bolt and then adjust the height up or down.

Now get on your bike and place the ball of your foot directly on top of the pedal spindle when the crank is at the bottom of the rotation.
